How We Choose Products

Gate one: a real product

Before a device can appear on HealthQuay, it has to be a genuine, identifiable product with real specifications. We screen out listings that look fake, duplicated or auto generated. Each item must have clear details we can describe accurately, such as display, measurement type and the accuracy its maker states. If we cannot confirm a product is real, it does not make our lists.

Gate two: verified demand

Next, we look at whether real buyers actually want the product. We weigh signals such as the number of reviews and how many units are bought, so that we feature devices people are genuinely choosing. This helps us avoid obscure listings that almost no one purchases. Verified demand keeps our rankings grounded in the real market rather than guesswork.

Gate three: a rating of 3.8 or higher

We also set a quality bar based on owner satisfaction. A product must hold an average star rating of at least 3.8 to qualify for our rankings. This filters out devices that consistently disappoint the people who buy them. A strong rating is one sign, alongside the others, that a device is worth a closer look.

Gate four: a real brand, then ranking

Finally, a product must come from a recognizable, verifiable brand rather than an anonymous or throwaway seller. Once a device clears all four gates, we rank the survivors using real facts such as features, accuracy claims, price, rating and demand. The result is a shortlist of devices we can describe honestly and compare fairly. Remember that our picks are informational, so consult a healthcare professional about your own health needs.
